Acting on ACVA's Recommendations - 2013

The Veterans Review and Appeal Board is committed to providing Veterans, Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and RCMP members, and their families, with a fair appeal process for disability benefits decisions.

The Government Response to the report of the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs (ACVA) outlines the actions it is taking to fully address the Committee's recommendations and improve the appeal program.

These changes will help us reinforce our independence; ensure fairness in decision-making; increase transparency and communications; increase our knowledge and understanding of military and policing cultures; and improve service to Veterans and their families.
