Responses to the Office of the Veterans Ombudsman
The Veterans Review and Appeal Board would like to acknowledge the recent release of the 2009-10 annual report of the Office of the Veterans Ombudsman.
The Board will be undertaking a close review of this report in order to address areas of concern. During this review, the Board will continue to work with the Ombudsman’s office. It will also increase its communications with Veterans’ organizations and the public to gain their perspectives and to improve understanding of the appeal process.
As we move forward, it is important for applicants and their families to know that the Board is committed to ensuring that Veterans and other applicants are treated fairly.
